Capacitive Level Sensor

Introduction

Remote Industries's capacitive level sensor is suitable for measuring liquid levels of most cryogenic gases such as: Carbon Dioxide, Nitrogen, and Argon. It has a built-in cellular modem and transmits level information every 60 seconds. Remote Industries can then dispatch level alarms via SMS text message, e-mail, or automated phone call.

The sensor also has six auxiliary analog inputs. These can be used to add telemetry for pressure, temperature, flow-rate, etc.

Unlike differential pressure sensors for level measurement, our device is installed from the dewar's top and doesn't require expensive ports through vacuum jacketing.

How It Works

The capacitive level sensor screws into the top of an empty dewar can. A stainless steel probe, mounted to the base of the sensor housing, extends down into the liquified gas. The device continuously monitors the liquid level and transmits data via an integrated cellular modem. All configuration is done via our website. No on-site configuration or zeroing of the device is necessary.
